Volunteer Treasurer & Board Director

The Isabel Voices is looking for a financially skilled and community-minded individual to join our Board of Directors as Treasurer.

Based at the Isabel Bader Centre for the Performing Arts in Kingston, The Isabel Voices is a dynamic choral organization committed to artistic excellence, community engagement, and creating exceptional musical experiences for our audiences.

Our Treasurer plays an important role in helping ensure the financial health and sustainability of the organization while working alongside a dedicated volunteer Board and our artistic leadership.

The role includes:

  • Providing financial oversight and guidance to the Board

  • Helping develop and monitor TIV's annual budget and cash flow

  • Preparing clear monthly financial reports for the Board

  • Bookkeeping, reconciliations, banking and financial records

  • Monitoring donations and charitable tax receipting

  • Supporting CRA and Ontario nonprofit compliance

  • Working with our external accountant as required

  • Presenting an annual financial overview at our AGM

We're looking for someone with experience in accounting, bookkeeping, finance or business administration, and familiarity with QuickBooks, Excel/Google Sheets or similar systems. A CPA designation and nonprofit financial experience are assets but are not required.

Most importantly, we're looking for someone who brings integrity, reliability, attention to detail and an interest in contributing their expertise to Kingston's vibrant arts community.

Time commitment: Approximately 6–10 hours per month, including a monthly evening Board meeting and routine financial administration.

This is a volunteer Board Officer position based in Kingston, Ontario.
